Bespoke hand engraved monogram in custom mixed pink ink to match the envelope lining.
We describe this luxurious paper as Japanese Bible Paper. Technically, it is Tomoe River, a kind of paper journal snobs love writing on. Though no longer produced, Mrs. Collins still has a few sheets of it. The great news is that Mrs. Collins still has a nice little stash of vintage 100% cotton and 25% cotton Onion Skin paper. This is the real stuff that has not been produced in decades. Because of its ultra-high cotton content, it is stable, has not foxed (discolored), and engraves beautifully.
We make this proprietary-shaped envelope, with its gentle radii, by hand. A very delicate process.
Outer and inner shapes are first die-cut—like using a cookie cutter. Then each shape is folded, assembled, glued together, and the moisture-sensitive, edible, glue is applied.
Think of writing with your favorite pen on American bible paper, yet on an even smoother surface! See this special product on Instagram.
Because each envelope is handmade, and the letter paper is so delicate, this stationery is by order only. Inquire for pricing and delivery schedules.
