Our Bespoke Typography is featured in the May-June issue of Veranda Magazine.
Exclusively for Veranda, we designed an invitation inspired by the infamous, 1972, Surrealist Ball. The original invitation, and this current rendition, read backward, on purpose!
The wonderful story, Swinging from the Chandeliers was photographed by Laurey W. Glenn, produced by Rachael Burrow, Dayle Wood, and Sara Clark. Here is a quote from this whimsical article:
‘When a new era of party bravado descends, will we replace standard soirees with high theater and epic occasions? As the Champagne chills, three imaginative ways to champion the cause.’
Thank you Veranda for including us in this fabulousness!!
By the way, the actual party was hosted ‘… by Baroness Marie-Hélène de Rothschild and her husband Guy, this eccentric evening featured otherworldly costumes, bizarre decorations, and allegedly Satanic symbolism.’ – Quoted from All That’s Interesting, Black Tie, Long Dresses, And Surrealist Heads: Inside The 1972 Rothschild Ball, by Marco Margaritoff, published December 28, 2020.
